About the Position: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join its Healthcare Risk and Claims Management (HRCM) department. As a key member of the team, you will provide accurate and actionable data regarding confidential professional, cyber, and general liability incidents and claims. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to optimize system functionality, ensure data integrity, and contribute to effective risk reduction, loss control, claims management, and risk financing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, update, and ensure the accuracy of critical claims reports and data for claims staff, university administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Extract and analyze data for managerial decision-making and produce data-driven presentations for university committees.
  • Configure systems, grant access, and provide onboarding training for new users from Rutgers, University Hospital, and Rowan.
  • Administer and oversee claims databases, resolve discrepancies, process invoices, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with IT and external vendors to maintain system functionality, address anomalies, and deploy enhancements.
  • Provide training and support for system updates and enhancements, ensuring users are equipped to manage workflows effectively.
  • Support claims personnel by managing essential data inputs, tracking claims, and investigating social media activity related to litigation cases.
  • Oversee the enrollment and invoicing process for postdoctoral health insurance programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of system configuration, data management, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Two years of experience in system configuration, data management, technical development, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; written and oral communication skills; problem-solving skills; and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing QAS and a range of software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, video conferencing tools, with a strong aptitude for adapting to new technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with efficiency and focus.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is between $79,013 and $120,890 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
