Oncology Pharmacist Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Pharmacist Coordinator to join our team at Cone Health. This role is responsible for overseeing medication approval, dispensing, and counseling of patients undergoing cancer treatment services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rounds with healthcare teams to provide pharmaceutical care to patients and achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Review medication profiles to ensure appropriate drug selection, dose, route, and frequency.
- Identify and resolve actual drug-related problems and develop plans to prevent potential issues.
- Supervise distributive aspects of pharmaceutical care provided to patients.
- Improve systems and processes to ensure safe, accurate, and timely provision of pharmaceutical care.
- Guide pharmacists through educational programs to increase knowledge of appropriate pharmacotherapy use and patient monitoring.
- Manage human resources to ensure talent needs are met, including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation, and developmental opportunities.
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy and/or completion of a residency in a hospital pharmacy from a program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
- Three years of pharmacy technician work experience or three years of prior authorization and/or copay assistance programs work experience or three years combined pharmacy technician/prior authorization and copay assistance work experience.
- Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) must be successfully completed within 1 year of hire.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, or eligible to obtain North Carolina pharmacy license within two months of hire.
