About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Women's Imaging Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation.
  • Document patient assessment and history.
  • Provide patients with compassionate care and breast education.
  • Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
  • Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal images.
  • Enter and properly complete all risk and history information into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Set exam status accordingly for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
  • Actively engage other healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
  • Follow department procedures/processes/policies.
  • Practice safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
  • Follow universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique.
  • Maintain exam room and work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Requirements
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification.
  • At least one year of experience as a Mammography Technologist performing screening and diagnostic exams.
  • Basic knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of mammography Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
  • General knowledge of policies and procedures for the delivery of healthcare services.
  • Basic PC (keyboarding and navigation) skills.
