About the Role:
The Transportation Specialist plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for the timely and safe transportation of correspondence and materials between specified locations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and professionalism in representing the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and receive materials within designated timelines, following prescribed routes and schedules.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations for processing, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Maintain a comprehensive log of materials delivered and received, accurately documenting all transactions.
- Communicate with management regarding daily volumes delivered and received, providing updates as needed.
- Uphold positive client relationships and represent the company in a professional manner during interactions.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, complete maintenance logs, and promptly report any mechanical issues to management to ensure vehicle safety and longevity.
- Manage purchase card and expense reports related to the SourceHOV vehicle, including gas and maintenance expenses.
- Adhere to safety regulations and rules of the road, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Report any accidents promptly to management and follow company procedures for incident reporting.
- Demonstrate physical capability to lift containers weighing pounds and the ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Compliance with company driving policies, as well as local, state, and federal driving regulations.
- Ability to drive a van with a safe driving record.
- Minimum of one year experience driving similar sized vehicles.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with good time management skills.
- Ability to read a map and understand directions.
The pay range for this position starts at $16.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
