Customer Service Engineer

The Customer Service Engineer position is an intermediate role focused on repairing technology-based products in an end-user computing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks for various tech products such as PC's, desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers.
  • Support high-priority clients and respond to change management requests.
  • Install new equipment, provide desk-side support, and carry out IMAC activities.
  • Complete all assigned desk-side support tasks and maintain high customer service satisfaction levels.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users and service desk personnel.
  • Follow service operations policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

  • Technical school certification or 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Maintain required OEM certifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and hardware systems.
  • Understanding of ITIL methodologies.
  • A+ certification desired.
  • Additional customer-specific certifications may be required.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes independently.
  • Able to lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a basic repair kit.
