Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and Examine Requisitions: Review patient requisitions to ensure accurate and complete information for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging Exams: Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic imaging exams using ultrasound technology, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure all ultrasound equipment is in good working order and maintain adequate supplies for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete necessary forms, maintain procedure logs, and retrieve imaging orders to input related data into the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Valid and current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong desire to provide quality patient care and expand diagnostic imaging services.
