We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at Ochsner LSU Health System. As a LPN, you will provide direct care to patients, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and interact with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- IV therapy credentials.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
This role requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to rapid change and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
