About the Role

Benzinga is seeking a talented Biotech Content Specialist to join our team. As a Biotech Reporter and Content Creator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality content that resonates with our diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Reporting: Investigate and report on news, trends, and developments within publicly traded biotech firms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Conduct Interviews: Interview industry experts, company executives, and other stakeholders to uncover and publish exclusive and unique insights.
  • Develop Original Content: Create original story ideas and pitches that align with market interests and audience preferences.
  • Monitor and Analyze Data: Monitor and analyze financial data, market trends, and regulatory developments affecting the biotech industry.
  • Produce a Weekly Newsletter: Produce a weekly newsletter targeting business executives.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with editors, fellow reporters, and other team members to enhance the overall quality and depth of our coverage.
  • Utilize Traffic Analytics: Utilize traffic analytics to make informed decisions about news coverage and feature content.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in business or financial reporting, with a focus on health data.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the biotech industry, including knowledge of key players, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into engaging, accessible content.
  • Content Creation: Ability to produce long and short-form content at a high level.
  • Industry Contacts: Deep rolodex of industry contacts.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Digital Media: Familiarity with digital media platforms (video and social) is preferred.
