Med Surg Nursing Residency Program

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital(WDH) offers a comprehensive Med Surg Nursing Residency Program designed to support new graduate nurses in their transition to professional practice. Job Responsibilities

As a Med Surg nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Appropriately assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Following policies and procedures, clinical practice standards, and emergency situations
  • Matching formal knowledge with clinical events to make decisions
  • Providing competent and effective care, seeking validation for clinical decisions, and integrating input from other clinicians
  • Prioritizing and organizing work to effectively meet patient needs and delegating to and supervising team members
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure
  • BSN or enrollment in a BSN program preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred
