Perfusion Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Perfusionist to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in providing patient-first healthcare and working alongside passionate caregivers in our Cardiac Surgery Unit.

• Assemble, operate, and disassemble the heart lung machine within established clinical practice guidelines.
• Set up and operate ECMO's, Cell Savers, Rapid Infusion devices, and other perfusion equipment.
• Manage patient parameters within safe ranges and support organ transplants, laser procedures, and new surgical procedures.
• Perform patient charting, prepare sterile packs, and assist in research, animal testing, and product evaluation.
• Share on-call responsibilities, routine staffing, and operating room coverage.

• Bachelor's Degree and completion of an accredited school of perfusion.
• Eligibility to take the certification examination of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or current certification as a CCP.
• Three months of on-the-job experience to become proficient with perfusion techniques and equipment.
• One year of on-the-job training to become proficient with perfusion techniques and protocols unique to CCF.
