Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Summary:

Design Tanks is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our production team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products by performing standardized quality control checks and maintaining calibrated test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify dimensions and measurements to standards on prints.
  • Review finished tanks for proper FRP laminate standards.
  • Review finished tanks for cosmetic flaws and proper finish.
  • Communicate professionally with team members to improve overall quality.
  • Review and work with/train team members in lane on quality of laminate process.
  • Verify dimensions to prints on in-house manufactured items.
  • Prioritize work to facilitate tanks meeting production schedule goals/deadlines.
  • Work directly with production supervisor and take direction.
  • Work on production floor with engineering on complex projects.
  • Accurately and completely fill out all required paperwork, check sheets.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training.
  • Willingness to share information in the job training process.
  • Excellent basic arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to interpret complex specification sheets required.
  • Ability to directly communicate verbally required.
  • Ability to manage your own time and set priorities.
  • Pay very close attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous production experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 20 pounds overhead.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours per day.
  • Wear personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate adequate dexterity and stamina.
  • Subject to periodic drug screening.
