Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Natural Resources Project Manager to join our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The successful candidate will have an emphasis on environmental planning and permitting for various projects and clients in renewable energy, electric generation and transmission, energy transition, and oil and gas sectors.

Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects, including oil and gas pipelines, municipal, transportation, electrical transmission, and renewable energy generation and storage projects.
  • They will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of key permitting programs to support quality and strategic growth plans.
  • Managing and permitting projects at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Autoring technical reports.
  • Consultation with federal and state agencies for project compliance.
  • Effective coordination of field work, direction and support of other technical staff, interaction with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, and management of projects, budgets, invoicing, and schedules.
  • Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, with 10-12 years of post-degree experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable federal regulatory agencies, including FERC, USACE, USFWS, and EPA.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable state regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules.
  • The candidate must have a strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • The ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials is also required.
  • Experience managing Projects and teams in New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or above in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and over 10 years of post-degree experience.
  • Certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS)
  • Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
