Job Title: Assistant Histology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Histology Technician to join our team at Inotiv. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of histology samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of histology samples, including tissue processing, sectioning, and staining.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, including slide stainers, coverslippers, and tissue processors.
  • Ensure compliance with GLP regulations, including documentation and record-keeping.
  • Assist in the management of hazardous waste and central accumulation area.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organization of laboratory areas.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, with laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and Inotiv staff.
Working Conditions:

This position will require frequent walking, sitting, and/or standing for extended periods of time, carrying, heavy lifting (max. 50 lbs), reaching while standing, gripping and twisting hand movements, finger control, and other general repetitive motions. The work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include use of protective equipment.
