Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a healthcare professional who assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures under the direction of a qualified physician. This role requires a strong understanding of specialized equipment and a commitment to maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and review baseline patient assessments to evaluate patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
  • Provide patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Act as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
Requirements
  • A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science.
  • One year of related experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
