Job Title: Cash Specialist In-House

Overview

The Sales Associate's division is responsible for cash handling and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and love of the brand while ensuring each customer has an exciting and enjoyable experience.

The Sales Associate will bring a positive attitude and service mentality to every interaction in an effort to delight the Forever 21 shopper.

Responsibilities
  1. Create a welcoming environment for customers as they enter or exit the store.
  2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and needs.
  3. Proactively seek opportunities to deliver a great customer experience.
  4. Assist in the location, availability, and selection of merchandise.
  5. Use basic selling techniques to engage with customers.
  6. Introduce current sales, promotions, credit card applications, and other brand initiatives to gain customer loyalty.
  7. Follow the Company's Customer FIRST model (Friendly Greeting, Identifying Needs, Responding, Suggesting and Styling, and Thanking).
  8. Complete sales transactions and maintain proper accountability at registers.
  9. Process merchandise returns and exchanges courteously and under company guidelines.
  10. Speak positively about the brand, customers, and team members.
  11. Demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and ownership in every interaction.
  12. Maintain visual standards for the selling floor, fitting rooms, visual displays, and presentations.
  13. Assist in daily store recovery, before, during, or after store opening hours.
  14. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and loss prevention practices.
  15. Share feedback and ideas with management to improve store processes.
  16. Adapt to a changing environment while managing multiple tasks.
  17. Provide support for all cross-functional departments.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of one year of retail sales experience and previous cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Must be energetic and charismatic.
  • Must have strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and act with integrity and business maturity.
  • Must be able to complete sales transactions in the POS register system.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to spend up to 100% of working time standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive finger, hand, and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and working with cleaning chemicals.
