Job Summary:

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team in the NICU department. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and establish plans of care
  • Obtain and verify physician orders for therapy and validate for appropriateness
  • Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patients or families
  • Ensure patients have given informed consent to treatment
  • Evaluate patients using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements
  • Integrate assessment results to identify functional problems and prioritize care needs with patients and families
  • Set appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address identified problems, including patient/family goals and preferences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree completion of an Occupational Therapy program required
  • 1 year of experience strongly preferred in NICU setting
  • OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
