Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist I to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing exercise-based rehabilitation programs for patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for patients, including prescription, supervision, and education.
  • Evaluate patients to determine therapy/treatment/exercise program needs and administer diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on exercise programs, health needs, and risks.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
  • Current certification as an Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with cardiac, pulmonary, or vascular populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
