Job Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time General Anesthesiologist faculty member in the Barnes West County Division. This position involves a mix of solo-performing and supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a tight-knit group of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality anesthesiology services to patients in various settings, including operating rooms, endoscopy suites, and interventional radiology.
- Supervise and mentor CRNAs to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the academic mission of the department through teaching, research, and service.
Requirements
- Board certification in anesthesiology.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Missouri.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regional anesthesia and acute pain management.
- Facility with electronic medical records and other clinical software.
