">Job Description">This role involves working with students with various disabilities and learning challenges, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with other educators and parents to support student success.
">Key Responsibilities">- Instruction and Support">
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.">
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instructional activities that accommodate diverse learning styles.">
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as needed.
- Classroom Management">
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and safe classroom environment.">
- Employ behavioral management strategies to address and resolve issues that may impact student learning.">
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
- Collaboration and Communication">
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.">
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, needs, and any concerns.">
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and strategies.
- Professional Development">
- Stay current with best practices in special education and incorporate new strategies into teaching.">
- Attend professional development workshops and trainings as required.
- Administrative Duties">
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.">
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by the school district and state regulations.
Qualifications">
- Education and Certification">
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).">
- Valid California Special Education Certification (Teacher of Students with Disabilities or equivalent).
- Experience">
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in special education (preferred but not required).">
- Experience with various disabilities and learning challenges, including autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.">
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.">
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of each student.
