Job Summary:
Healogics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound Care Physician to serve as a Clinical Medical Director for our Wound Care Center. As a Clinical Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading and building your own practice within the Wound Care Center, with full administrative support to focus on patient care and relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Build Your Practice: As a Clinical Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading and building your own practice within the Wound Care Center, with full administrative support to focus on patient care and relationships.
- Clinical Leadership: Serve as a physician leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial results of the Wound Care Center.
- Liaison with Medical Institutions: Serve as liaison with affiliated medical institutions for services required such as hospitalization and emergency medical services.
- Continuing Education: Participate in regional and national conference(s) related to wound care improvement or new wound care information.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: Ensure appropriate HBO chamber quality and safety, including appropriate documentation of approved indications, physician supervision requirements, and presence of appropriately trained safety director appointed for the Hyperbaric Unit.
- Staff Education: Provide continuing wound care education to the staff and community, including new advances in wound healing and new product reviews.
- Patient Care: Actively schedule and participate in one-on-one discussions about the wound care program with primary care and surgical specialties.
- Community Outreach: Act as spokesperson for wound care program services when local media opportunities arise.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Build appropriate relationships with interdisciplinary specialties to ensure appropriate and timely consultative patient care needs.
- Professional Development: Engage in self-development through corporate training and coaching, and through participation with professional associations.
