Position Overview
The Critical Care Registered Nurse plays a vital role within the Nursing Department, ensuring high-quality care for patients in critical condition. This professional is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with healthcare team members.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical pathways.
- Supervise and delegate patient care activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary.
- Prepare patients for discharge and provide education to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure and certifications, including ACLS and CPR.
- CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale is an advantage.
