Behavioral Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and caring individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician. This role is responsible for supervising residents, ensuring their safety, and building strong relationships with them. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Job Summary
This is an entry-level position that involves working with adolescents in a residential setting. The Behavioral Health Technician will participate in recreational and activity groups, mentor and assist residents with meeting treatment goals, and consistently review the physical environment to ensure safety. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and recording residents' actions and behavior, facilitating daily schedules, and providing transportation to community outings and meetings. Additionally, they will enforce house rules and maintain compliance with all policies and required training.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid time off, medical insurance, dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and a commute stipend for eligible candidates. We offer additional training in areas such as First Aid, CPR, Food Handlers Permit, Positive Communication System (PCS), and more.
Responsibilities
* Participate in recreational and activity groups to promote socialization and teamwork among residents
* Mentor and assist residents with meeting treatment goals, including developing life skills and coping strategies
* Consistently review the physical environment to ensure safety and address any potential hazards
* Monitor and record residents' actions and behavior to identify areas for improvement
* Facilitate daily schedules, including participating in and providing support to residents during activities such as chores, meal service, and laundry
* Provide transportation to community outings and meetings in company vehicles, following safe and legal practices
* Enforce house rules and policies, maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all residents
Requirements
* Must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver's license
* High school diploma or equivalent required; prior work experience with adolescents in behavioral health settings a plus
* Ability to pass a background check and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
