This is an exciting opportunity to join Ampirical Solutions as a Procurement Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, parts, services, and supplies to support high-voltage transmission, substation, and distribution projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement Process Management: Ensure project shipping addresses, field personnel details, and approval structures are accurately input into the system for PO processing.
- Negotiation and Supplier Selection: Collaborate with departments to understand and meet specific procurement needs, negotiate pricing, delivery, service, and quality with vendors, and select suppliers and procure necessary parts and services.
- Delivery and Logistics: Resolve delivery issues such as shortages, damages, or invoicing discrepancies by maintaining close contact with suppliers and collaborate with departments on material substitutions and make vs. buy decisions.
- Market Research and Analysis: Inform management of market and pricing changes that could impact operations or budgets and assist in soliciting bid prices from subcontractors for appropriate portions of the project when needed.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
- Experience in the power utilities or industrial environment is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint) and experience with Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat are preferred.
