Position Overview

WWC Engineering is seeking a motivated civil or environmental engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. This role focuses on civil/water resources, environmental, geotechnical, and transportation engineering.

This dynamic position will immerse you in the diverse fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources management, geotechnical studies, and transportation projects. You will collaborate with our engineering teams on various tasks including planning, geometric design, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, water resources and irrigation initiatives, reservoir design and permitting, environmental compliance, geotechnical evaluations, cost estimation, bid documentation, public engagement, and the preparation of technical plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach, with a preference for those possessing knowledge and experience in AutoCAD Civil3D. Previous exposure to the engineering sector is advantageous. Some travel may be necessary, and a valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute engineering design tasks as directed by project leaders

• Create engineering design documents

• Develop specifications, cost assessments, and bid proposals

• Manage regulatory approvals for projects involving State DEQ, EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other relevant agencies

• Engage in project discussions concerning technical strategies, budgeting, and timelines

• Apply civil engineering principles to daily design tasks

• Conduct construction oversight activities including inspections, daily documentation, contractor payment reviews, quality assurance checks, and other duties as assigned by the project manager

• Assist in field surveying to gather data for design projects and mark construction sites

• Learn and utilize AutoCAD Civil3D for engineering design tasks

• Communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)

• Undertake additional administrative tasks as assigned by management
