Industrial Maintenance Millwright - Metal Recycling - Competitive Pay

  • AllSearch Professional Staffing is in search of an experienced Industrial Maintenance Millwright with expertise in the maintenance and repair of metal shredding and stationary recycling machinery.
  • In this position, the Industrial Maintenance Millwright will be tasked with diagnosing and fixing equipment issues while conducting preventative maintenance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify the root causes of mechanical issues by inspecting equipment
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Repair and refurbish conveyors and shredding machinery as required
  • Inspect components for signs of damage or excessive wear
  • Weld and fabricate replacement parts and structural components as needed using stick welding techniques
  • Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Collaborate with Operations to minimize downtime through effective preventive maintenance scheduling

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing setting
  • Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of metal recycling shredders and associated equipment.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing heavy machinery and executing preventative maintenance
  • Completion of apprenticeship or journeyman training is advantageous
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings/schematics, utilizing hand and power tools, and maintaining precision measuring instruments
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
