Job Title: Head of Data and Governance

Chatham Financial is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Data and Governance to lead our data strategy and governance efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement a data governance framework that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of data management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT, and external partners.
  • Provide data governance training and awareness programs to ensure a culture of data governance throughout the organization.
About You:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data governance, data engineering, and data strategy, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in building, managing, and scaling data teams across multiple geographies and products.
  • Advanced degree such as a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field, including information management, data science, computer science, or business administration.
  • Expertise in data governance frameworks and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong grasp of modern data architecture, data modeling techniques, and best practices for data governance.
