**Job Summary**
StandardAero is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Programmer and Machinist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, writing, revising, documenting, testing, implementing, and controlling programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plans, develops, writes, revises, documents, tests, implements, and controls programs for CNC machines and related fixturing.
- Prepares machine/process setup and operating instructions.
- Designs and/or manufactures jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions, or drawings.
- Provides support, training, and problem resolution to operations personnel who use CNC machines.
- Liaises with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection, and induction of new repairs.
- Monitors performance, conducts feasibility studies, and implements process improvements for CNC machines.
- Prepares technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment.
- Liaises with management in the procurement process.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Ability to understand, utilize, and communicate specialized information in speech and written text.
- Thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems.
- Master-CAM a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls and the ability to program at the machine, as needed.
- Prior experience as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
- College diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline; or equivalent is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations.
