Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef Instructor to join our team at Common Threads. As a Chef Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching cooking and nutrition classes to children and adults in a fun and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver cooking and nutrition classes to children and adults
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new program initiatives
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for our program participants
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest cooking and nutrition trends
• Assist with program evaluation and assessment to ensure the effectiveness of our programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in cooking and nutrition education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Valid food handler's certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children and adults with diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Knowledge of nutrition and cooking principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in Spanish
