The Wound Pros LLC is seeking a dedicated Full-time Travel Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional wound care services to patients in diverse settings throughout California. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Experience with healthcare technologies and data management
- Background in collaborative, cross-functional roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Technical proficiency and adaptability in learning new systems
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert wound care consultation for patients with chronic non-healing wounds, ensuring high-quality customer service
- Achieve performance goals through consistent delivery of exceptional care and timely application of advanced treatment methods
- Engage in ongoing professional development through comprehensive training programs
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Valid NP license to practice medicine
- Board Certified with proof of certification
- Prior experience in wound care and/or relevant certification
- Willingness to travel extensively for patient care
- Ability to accept assignments lasting 12 weeks or longer
- Patient-focused mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of medical instruments required for wound care
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs. or more and assist with patient mobility
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients
- Order and perform necessary tests and procedures for optimal patient care
- Implement wound care protocols in alignment with established treatment guidelines
- Document patient diagnoses and treatment plans accurately
- Recommend appropriate medications and wound care products
- Ensure patient satisfaction by adhering to the highest standards of care
- Educate patients on wound management and care
- Participate in special projects as required
- Perform wound debridement and apply topical treatments during patient visits
- Maintain accurate patient records, including follow-up documentation
- Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing training and achieving organizational objectives
- Travel to patient residences and long-term care facilities as needed
