Job Title: Progressive Care Unit Nurse

We're seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing basic bedside care, stabilizing critical cardiac patients, and performing various medical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements:
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience
