In the role of Operations Supervisor, you will manage several key areas essential for the seamless operation of our logistics processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of GXO's quality standards; develop procedures to uphold quality objectives.
  • Provide direction to supervisors regarding personnel management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff effectively.
  • Propose initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage equipment and coordinate maintenance requirements with the maintenance team.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely completion of reports.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

To be considered, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with computerized scanning equipment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule as required, including both planned and unplanned overtime.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related discipline.
  • 4 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-certified environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
  • The ability to maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and enforcing safety practices across all departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and skills in statistical analysis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
  • Tolerance for varying warehouse temperatures.
