About the Role:

As a Field Geoscientist, you will be stationed at remote drilling sites, where your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and analyzing rock sample cuttings during the drilling process.
  • Operating and maintaining gas monitoring equipment to gather critical data.
  • Compiling detailed reports known as mud logs, which serve as essential records for our clients.

This role is ideal for those who appreciate the autonomy of fieldwork, enjoy diverse schedules, and are open to travel. You will serve as the vital link between our operations and the geologists we support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Live and work at various job sites for durations of 1 to 3 weeks.
  • Provide meticulous observations and data collection to ensure accuracy.
  • Engage in potential training for advanced techniques such as Mass Spectrometry and X-Ray Fluorescence.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate multiple flights of stairs.
  • Ability to walk varying distances frequently throughout the day.
  • Commitment to working 12-hour shifts in a remote setting.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Geology or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Teams.
