Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Services team at the University of Rochester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hand and upper extremity care, excellent communication and clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our busy orthopedic surgeon and healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to outpatient hand and upper extremity patients, including pediatric and adult populations.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the education of learners, including students and new employees, through clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing.
  • 5 years of experience as an RN, with 1-3 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certification as a Registered Physician Assistant.
