Machinist II

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist II to join our team at Evident. As a key member of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for operating manual machine shop equipment, working from blueprints and process sheets, and performing production tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assignment planning, layout, setup, operation, and tool adjustments for various types of manual machine shop equipment
• Work from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks, including cutting and shaping metals and plastics to precision dimensions
• Communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
• Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent; Trade School or Associate's Degree preferred
• 1-2 years experience working in a lean manufacturing environment a plus; CNC background required
• Good manual dexterity, computer skills, and literacy a plus
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, and strong verbal communication skills
