Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest Services Associate at Chevron Stations Inc. (CSI). As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and ensuring accurate sales transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the indoor and outdoor facilities, restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash (if applicable).
  • Sales Transactions: Conduct accurate and safe sales transactions, adhering to CSI guidelines and procedures, including retail and fuel sales transactions.
  • Cash Handling: Maintain a secure cash drawer, perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift, and follow CSI cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Food Service: Prepare food and hot beverage products, manage ExtraMile and/or KKC foodservice and beverages, and ensure maximization of sales and minimization of loss.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs, and cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Distribute delivered goods in an orderly manner throughout the store, ensure shelves are full of products, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Availability: Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Food Handling Certificates: Possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
  • Cooking/Restaurant Experience: Cooking/restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on hard and uneven surfaces.
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to bend, lift, push, and move product using proper lifting techniques.
  • Temperature Exposure: Periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions during daylight hours, and moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34 F or lower.
  • Handwashing and Personal Cleanliness: Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness standards.
