General Surgeon

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon to join our team in Iraq. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing preoperative, operative, and post-operative management of patient care, adhering to a U.S. standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Document care delivered and follow-up care required for all Health Care Providers (HCPs).
- Attend and participate in meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of new developments, task efforts, and policy requirements.
- Maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights for patients.
- Actively participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Common Access Card (CAC) or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
- US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Experience on a military site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
- All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School.
- Completed a general surgery residency within the United States.
- U.S. or Canadian Board Certified.
- Hold and maintain a current unrestricted U.S. (State) license.
- Current American Heart Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Association certification.
- Must have completed General Surgery Residency within the United States.
- Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.

Compensation - Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Benefits - This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional benefits include a 401k plan and paid time off and annual bonus. International SOS complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
