• Collaboration: Work closely with our interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient processes and adherence to policies.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date through ongoing education and training.
• Patient Interaction: Conduct interviews, provide counseling, and address healthcare-related questions.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed.
• Care Planning: Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Specialized Procedures: Support physicians during patient examinations and perform specialized procedures.
• Age-Specific Care: Adapt information gathering to meet patients' unique needs.
• Facility Management: Handle sterilization, stock supplies, and maintain records.
• Patient Education: Identify educational needs and provide teaching as requested.
• Compliance: Follow UPMC Health System policies and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements include:

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program
• One year clinical experience preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York
• CPR certification based on AHA standards
• BLS or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
