Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our team at Linden Ponds by Erickson Senior Living. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting residents, staff, and visitors safely and efficiently within our gated community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transporting residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments
  • Operating vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, ensuring safe and secure transportation for all passengers
  • Operating non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of vehicles, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for passengers
  • Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, refueling, and other related tasks to ensure vehicle readiness
  • Logging and tracking vehicle usage, ensuring accurate records and efficient operations
  • Assisting passengers with boarding and off-boarding from vehicles, providing exceptional customer service
  • Completing incident reports regarding mechanical failure or accidents involving Company vehicles, ensuring prompt and thorough investigation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; transportation services experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to drive; valid State driver's license required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate, indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work with the older population, providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to operate Community vehicles safely, including non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated by successful completion of a road test
  • Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems
  • Minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience, as noted through a driving record check
