Job Title: CPE Validation Automation Engineer

Location: Mountain View, CA - Onsite role (3 days a week)

Employment Type: Contract/Fulltime

Key Responsibilities
  • Write TR-069 related scripts to automate CPE validation and testing
  • Develop software automation using tools like Python and Expect to streamline testing processes
  • Write new command line tools in Java, Python, or Go to collect periodic statistics and metrics
  • Prior experience with WiFi performance testing is required, with familiarity with Octoscope and Veriwave test equipment a plus
  • Good knowledge of RF concepts, including splitters, attenuators, antennas, and RF shielded boxes is required
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes is required
  • Good knowledge of TCP-IP, L2 networking, and switches, with proficiency in Wireshark debugging tool is required
  • Ability to write shell scripts to validate CPE (i.e. TR-069 routers) on the network and customize scripts per vendor is required
  • Background in software automation using tools like Python and Expect or other is required
  • Prior experience with debugging tools and root-cause analysis is required, with good problem-solving skills
  • The candidate will generate TPut/KPI/other performance metrics and statistics for the devices being tested, compile test reports, and help prepare presentations
Requirements
