Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee our general accounting functions and ensure the integrity of our financial transactions. This role requires a meticulous accounting professional with a strong commitment to financial accuracy and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Final Statement Production (30%): Manage and oversee the creation of final financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Reconciliation (30%): Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, general ledgers, and journal entries while maintaining balance sheets to uphold financial integrity.
- Financial Analysis (20%): Analyze preliminary results and perform inquiries on financial statements before and after finalization. Utilize strong analytical skills to provide insights from financial data, reports, and forecasts.
- Audit Preparation (10%): Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any discrepancies.
- Tax Reporting (10%): Prepare and manage reports related to usage tax, sales and use tax, and unclaimed property tax, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Accounting Knowledge: Profound understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), financial reporting, and auditing standards.
- Financial Analysis Skills: Proficient in analyzing financial statements and reports, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
- Budgeting and Forecasting Expertise: Skilled in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Taxation Knowledge: Familiarity with tax regulations, preparation of tax returns, and compliance requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements impacting financial operations.
