Position Summary:
The role of the Steno Clerk involves providing essential office support services utilizing automated office equipment. This position is critical in ensuring efficient records management and performing various administrative tasks that require specialized knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties encompass a range of clerical and administrative functions, including but not limited to:

  • Executing all typing tasks with precision.
  • Conducting complex clerical duties.
  • Drafting memos, correspondence, forms, reports, and charts.
  • Preparing and maintaining various records and reports.
  • Managing incoming correspondence through review and direction.
  • Composing routine letters and reports with minimal guidance.
  • Handling phone communications and relaying messages.
  • Operating various office service machinery.
  • Utilizing office automation tools to create, edit, and deliver documents within established quality and time parameters.
  • Performing secretarial tasks as assigned.
  • Overseeing and assisting in the training of other clerical staff.
  • Providing shorthand services when necessary.
  • Carrying out field services as required.
  • Executing additional related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of the Clerical Job Family 2 Test and Typing Test.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed work accurately with minimal supervision, including typing.
  • Familiarity with company procedures, routines, and policies.
  • General understanding of standard administrative practices and procedures.
  • Completion of entry-level training satisfactorily.
  • Capability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Ability to guide and instruct peers and junior staff.
