Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Clinical Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders. Your responsibilities will include reviewing medication profiles, resolving drug therapy problems, and participating in medical and multidisciplinary rounds to provide expert guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate medication information needs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize a systematic approach to search, retrieve, and apply literature to patient care.
  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
  • Compounding, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications.
  • Manage inventory control, including the secure storage of controlled substances.
  • Enhance professional growth through ongoing education and training.
  • Supervise and train technicians, interns, and students.
  • Consult with healthcare providers on optimal drug utilization and document clinical activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
  • New Mexico Board of Pharmacy License required.
  • Less than one year experience in pharmacy practice.
  • Acquired necessary practice skills to evaluate medication orders.
