KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare beverages by mixing ingredients according to established recipes and standards set by the bar manager.
  • Accurately pour spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with prescribed glassware.
  • Utilize bar tools properly while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Process payments and operate the point of sale system.
  • Ensure that service standards and principles of Mayfair Grill/Mayfair House are upheld consistently.
  • Supervise the setup and breakdown of bar workspaces in alignment with the standards established by the bar manager.
  • Monitor that the current bar setup for bottles and displays is executed according to the bar manager's guidelines.
  • Provide service to customers with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.
  • Handle and transport items such as glasses and bottles using hands and arms.
  • Engage in physical activities including lifting, bending, and moving.
  • Attend all scheduled bar and staff training sessions.
  • Arrive for shifts punctually and prepared to work.
  • Adhere to grooming standards set by Mayfair Grill & Mayfair House.
  • Perform all tasks without complaints from yourself or colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience.
  • A genuine passion for service.
  • Capability to craft any cocktail or mixed beverage upon request.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in English. A self-motivated personality with a calm demeanor is essential. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times. Ability to communicate effectively with guests. Willingness to assist colleagues with their responsibilities and be a team player. Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage products, including proper preparation and presentation. Ability to create signage for catering events. Capability to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Proficiency in designing special themes and menus. Ability to manage interactions with both internal and external customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and gather accurate information.
