Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Amedisys. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial nursing assessments on new admissions
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain individualized patient care progress records with accuracy and timeliness
  • Regularly communicate patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team
  • Educate families on patient condition, needs, and care
  • Makes referrals to other hospice care disciplines as needed, or documents rationale for not doing so
  • Perform on-call responsibilities and on-call services to patients/families as assigned
Qualifications
  • Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work
  • One year of nursing experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance
