Radiation Oncology CT Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our Radiation Oncology team at WVU Medicine. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, including explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current certification in Radiography (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 1+ year of experience in CT scanning, preferably in a radiation oncology setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
