Patient Care Specialist

About the Role: As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to patients across various units, including medical/surgical, telehealth, and other areas as needed. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, while maintaining accurate records and reports. Your expertise in vital signs, medication administration, and wound care will be invaluable in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, maintaining accurate records and reporting any adverse reactions or concerns
- Conduct routine vital sign checks, documenting changes and abnormalities for healthcare provider review
- Provide basic life support, CPR, and first aid as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain open communication, ensuring continuity of care and resolving any issues promptly
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff to foster a positive and supportive care environment
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Washington
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in medical/surgical or telehealth roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
- A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, prioritizing empathy, compassion, and respect
Working Conditions: This role requires working in a dynamic hospital environment, with varying shifts and scheduling demands. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will need to be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle diverse situations and priorities.
Salary Range: The estimated annual salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
