We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures, positioning patients, and assisting with clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all exams using established protocols and facility policy for proper patient identification.
- Educate patients concerning exams and properly screen patients for any contrast allergies.
- Operate all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
- Adapt protocols as necessary for patients of all ages and operate all equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure.
- Practice infection control standards and utilize approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.
- Complete required documentation for Radiologist support and perform clerical duties, including answering telephones and completing patient records.
- Perform direct patient care duties, within technologist scope of practice, and utilize proper infection control techniques.
- Associate's degree or equivalent two years of experience in a related field.
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Science program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T. registration.
- General Radiographer state license as required by state if applicable, KS LRT.
