The primary objective of this role is to support the site EHS Manager in ensuring adherence to EHS regulations, cultivating a robust safety culture, and minimizing workplace injuries. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Safety, Security, Environmental, and Workers' Compensation standards, while actively working to mitigate risks and costs associated with employee, contractor, and visitor behaviors and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization to promote a collaborative safety environment.
  • Deliver accurate and consistent safety guidance to all facility personnel, aligning with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards and recommend effective solutions.
  • Prepare various safety reports and analyze data to track trends and improvements in safety initiatives.
  • Manage safety communication boards and update safety monitoring materials as necessary.
  • Oversee the inventory of safety supplies and ensure timely ordering.
  • Facilitate employee safety recognition programs.
  • Conduct and manage safety training sessions.
  • Lead new hire safety orientations for both full-time and temporary staff.
  • Engage in accident investigations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is essential.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in a manufacturing or light industrial setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

Shift: 3rd (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)
