Position Summary:

The Warehouse Material Specialist is accountable for efficiently picking and unloading products, verifying the accuracy of orders, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of inventory. This role also encompasses responsibilities related to line feeding and finished product rotation. The position requires exposure to various refrigerated environments within the production area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and uphold all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP, and sanitation protocols.
  • Rotate products by date in storage areas while maintaining inventory accuracy and conducting routine cycle counts.
  • Transfer materials to production areas, ensuring that production lines are adequately supplied.
  • Pick orders on the correct pallets and wrap them appropriately, ensuring proper separation and storage.
  • Unload products promptly while ensuring all documentation is accurate for each shipment.
  • Move finished goods from production to storage, ensuring they are maintained at the correct temperature.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience (stand-up forklift experience may be required for some positions).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; basic math skills are necessary.
  • Capability to multitask and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Physical Work Environment:

This position involves using ladders and catwalks to access production equipment, frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, and prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. The role may also involve working in high places and exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and potential electrical hazards. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
