Hospice Physician

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Physician to join our team at Hospice of Redmond. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide medical leadership and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality end-of-life care for our patients.
Job SummaryThe Hospice Physician will be responsible for:
- Providing medical leadership and clinical expertise to the organization
- Facilitating a culture of collaboration among medical and nursing staff
- Ensuring integration of primary and palliative medicine
- Attending IDT meetings and providing medical oversight
- Recertifying patients for continuation of the Medicare Hospice Benefit
The Hospice Physician will:
- Certify patients for hospice services using diagnostic and prognostic indicators
- Recertify patients as appropriate
- Attend IDT meetings and collaborate with the patient's attending physician
- Provide consultation, support, and education to the hospice IDT and attending physicians
- Ensure physician support is available 24/7
- Document care provided in the patient's clinical record
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A licensed physician (MD or DO) in the State of Oregon
- A DEA license
- A valid driver's license and automobile liability coverage
- Several years of progressive medical leadership experience
